Award ceremonies are undoubtedly one of the indispensable parts of every year. Frankly, they are very magnificent because there is only room for the best here! Introducing this year's Tony Awards!
The Tony Awards, which are distributed for the productions and performances of Broadway Theater and also for regional theaters of America, were held for the 77th time this year. Let's look at the stars of this ceremony, which took place at the David H. Koch Theatre, NYC and was hosted by Ariana DeBose!
Best Play: STEREOPHONIC
It reveals the nature of creation in a music studio where a delightful and successful rock band glorified itself in the late 1900s. This visual feast, exhibited at the John Gold Theater, was written by David Adjmi and directed by Daniel Aukin. Of course, the music in this game, which reflects the spirit of the rock band, is a must, we can trust Will Butler from Arcade Fire in this regard.
Best Musical: THE OUTSIDERS
This play, performed at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, takes place in Oklahoma in 1967. Pont Curtis, Johnny Cad and the strangers they chose are struggling to survive in this world that is against them. As you can see, this is a story of hopes. This musical, adapted from the movie and the book, will make you feel these deep emotions just as deeply.
Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play: SARAH PAULSON
This family drama written by Branden Jacobs Jenkins is waiting for you at the Belasco Theatre. A house in Arkansas and an Lafayette family… coming together. Toni and her sister Bo think that they will live in the order they dream of, but their estranged brother Franz disrupts all plans. Amidst this chaos, family intrigues make them confront the past.
Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play: JEREMY STRONG
This show, directed by Sam Gold, is about “an enemy of the people.” Our actor plays the respected doctor of a small town in this play, adapted from the play and screened at the Square Theatre. This highly respected doctor discovers a disaster in the town, but the government is not on the same side as the doctor and the people. Jeremy Strong does a great job, living up to his surname.
Best Choreography: ILLINOISE
This time the tune comes from Sufjan Stevens. The 11-member band, adapted from the Illinois album, tells us a life story accompanied by live music and campfire. You will enjoy the show where live music comes to life with this great choreography.
