How could the adventure that started as a tire company in the 1850s turn into a ‘Michelin Star’? When the company’s sales decreased, the following idea came to mind; to prepare an interesting guide to food stops on the road. These guides, which include tire sales centers, gas stations and hotels, are left to these food stops with the aim of increasing tire sales. After a short while, restaurant recommendations are also requested and stars are given according to the quality of the restaurant.
While there are approximately 2800 restaurants with a ‘Michelin Star’ worldwide, the number of stars also varies. These stars, which have spread all over the world, continue to attract customers with their wide range of flavors, while France is the first to collect stars. After France with 600 stars, Tokyo follows with 217 stars. However, these three attract the most attention:
Restaurant Gordon Ramsay: Gordon Ramsay, the indispensable face of cooking shows, also creates indispensable flavors in restaurants. His restaurants, which extend to Europe, America and the Middle East, have a total of 6 Michelin stars. We also have an interesting rule at this restaurant: you have to wear a suit to enter!
The Waterside Inn: A wonderful restaurant that has successfully maintained its 3 Michelin stars for 25 years with a total of 9 different tasting menus. With its French-style decoration and a diverse menu that includes every season, it will make French cuisine indispensable.
Noma: The unique flavors of Scandinavian cuisine come to life with Noma. Having held the title of the best restaurant in the world many times, it has now given up this title to El Celler de Can Roca. But of course, the Nordic breeze still continues. No ingredient that does not belong to this region is ever used in this restaurant.
